Brief bios for our panelists for this education session:
Dawn Zier is an independent board director and accomplished CEO best known for engineering a remarkable turnaround of the iconic brand, Nutrisystem (Nasdaq: NTRI). During her six-years as CEO, she created a multi-brand strategy focused on digital transformation and innovation that doubled revenues and resulted in a 7- fold surge in operating income. In 2017 and 2018, Nutrisystem was named a Fortune Top 100 Fastest Growing Company and was subsequently acquired in 2019.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Spirit Airlines, The Hain Celestial Group, Purple and Prestige Consumer Healthcare. She chairs the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees for both Hain and Spirit, brings significant Compensation and Audit Committee experience to the table, and has helped navigate several activist situations.
Her accomplishments have been chronicled in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Philadelphia Inquirer. She holds an MBA and MS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Dawn is a frequent keynote speaker at national conferences and major universities on future-focused leadership and corporate governance.
Jim Neary, Managing Director, Co-head of U.S. Private Equity and member of the Executive Management Group, Warburg Pincus. Mr. Neary is the Chairman or Board Member of several companies including Allied Universal, Consolidated Precision Products, Duravant, Sotera Health and WEX. Among other public and private companies, he has previously served on the Boards of Endurance International Group, Hygiena, Fidelity National Information Services, Inc., Interactive Data Corporation, InComm Holdings, Coyote Logistics, EFS (Electronic Funds Source) and Alert Global Media Holdings. Mr. Neary is on the Board of Trustees of The Mount Sinai Health System, Eaglebrook School and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. In addition, he is the Co-Chair of the President’s Council at Tufts University.
