About the Event
We are pleased to announce that a strategic alliance with Eleven Canterbury has been approved by our Executive Committee on January 13, 2021 and a formal Memorandum of Understanding has been signed. In line with our vision to be pioneers of gender equality in boardrooms across the globe, this alliance will help meet our mission of positioning participants of Harvard Business School’s Women on Boards: Succeeding as a Corporate Director to serve on corporate boards.
Eleven Canterbury is a global invitation-only expert network of active and semi-retired industry leaders who have held executive positions across the private sector. Based on personal relationships, not algorithms, and focused on connecting clients with interim C-suite executives, experienced board candidates, and senior subject matter experts for consulting, advisory and expert witness opportunities, Eleven Canterbury is recognized for its ability to successfully identify qualified candidates on-demand, saving clients precious time and money.
Founded in 2009 by Seth Cohen, the network is comprised of approximately 2,000 individuals located in 21 countries, with concentrations in the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Eleven Canterbury also has a broad network of clients in private equity (PE) which has been a recent area of growth for the company, particularly in sourcing board directors for PE portfolio companies. This alliance will provide our network members a channel to the comparatively larger number of board opportunities in PE portfolio companies, especially in small to mid-sized firms, versus the smaller number of opportunities available in publicly traded companies. For Eleven Canterbury, our network provides a high-quality source of current and potential women board directors. In addition, by pooling our resources, relationships and contacts with those of the Eleven Canterbury network, potential opportunities will increase for both organizations.
For more information, the Strategic Alliances Subcommittee will host sessions with Seth Cohen on February 16, 2021, for our network members in the Americas and Europe, and February 23, 2021, for our members based in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Rest of World.
